My name is Frederic Martins, but my friends and relatives used to call me Fred.

I am 23 year old. I was born in Paris, more precisely in Drancy (93).

But now I'm living in Saint Etienne for my studies.

My hobbies

• I'm totally insane of football. When my team is playing, I'm not the same person! That's what my friends tell me.

Normally, I'm a quiet, sensitive and funny guy. Not the kind of person that can shout, get excited or cry for, as some people say, a game where 22 players (or 20 without the goalkeepers) just have one thing in their mind: put a ball into a goal of 6 metres by 2m10. 

What's my team? It's simply the World's Biggest Club: Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Benfica Lisbon).

Indeed, since last year, it's the most widely  supported football club (more than 160 000 paid-up members). This team, better known as just Benfica or, by fans, SLB, is one of the most prominent clubs in Europe having reached the final of the UEFA Champions Cup for 7 times (2W/5L). Unfortunately, since the beginning of the 90's, it has left the top of European Football. But the passion of the "benfiquistas" for their team has never changed and will never change, I think.

Maybe it's better if I stop talking about that now because when I start to discuss about my club, principally with a supporter of a rival team, it's difficult to stop me.

However, just to finish about that, you can wonder why a French supports a portuguese team, moreover when this team hasn't won nothing important, in international terms, for decades!!

The reason is quite simple, all my family is portuguese and me too (I have the double nationality). And, maybe you don't know, but in Portugal, "futebol" is a religion. And ,even if the proportions are changing today, Benfica is still the most popular club in the country.

• I love listening to music. In general, every kind of music: it depends of my humor. I could listen to music all the day if it was possible. Of course I have some preferences

   like Funk music, but otherwise I can, for example, hear rock when I wake up, rap when I lunch and pop music before falling asleep.
